The ban received further support from Tanveer Pasha, president of the Ola, Uber, and TaxiforSure Drivers and Owners Association. He reportedly said that considering the shipping rule does not provide pooling services; they instructed the shipping branch to prevent pooling providers from using aggregators.

He stated, “There is no business enterprise for the driver after the pool carrier has been introduced, and also there’s no safety for the passengers and the drivers on this carrier; random human beings share the experience.”

This is not the first time the groups have dealt with prison hassles, particularly in Karnataka. In March, the Regional Transport Department of Bengaluru suspended Ola’s license and prohibited it from jogging cab operations in the kingdom of Karnataka for six months. The cab aggregator was given into this problem for allegedly violating the license situations for going for walks, bike taxis, and violating authorities’ policies.

However, over the weekend itself, the ban was lifted.

The modification will come below the purview of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
