How RUSSSH went from a call-based venture manager to being Mumbai’s cross-to shipping service

Seven-year-old startup RUSH, which began by taking mission requests over the telephone, is almost the Dunzo of Mumbai with its delivery service. Now, it desires to expand to other metros.

Back in 2012, when RUSH started as GetMyPeon, it became the best errand-walking and transport carrier in Mumbai. Going for walks and errands for random human beings can be a commercial enterprise, which became a unique idea for India on time. Founder Bharat Ahirwar pooled Rs 20,000 from his financial savings and started taking mission orders through calls, emails, and social media.

There was no website, and that seemed o.K. Because GetMyPeon changed into finishing almost eight obligations daily at Rs 100 according to request. Phone orders to on-call for concierge app

About three years on, in 2015, GetMyPeon rebranded itself as RUSSIA. It also received a seed investment of $250,000 from undisclosed angels. An internet site accompanied because the startup realized it had to “begin taking pictures data” about customers. As more orders flowed in, RUSH stepped up its shipping fleet. It additionally elevated its various obligations and started servicing Navi Mumbai and Thane on the side of Mumbai.

In 2016, it rolled out a cellular app, which became the want of the hour. Bharat says, “From taking orders at the telephone to processing them on an app, we needed to exchange the whole manner we have been doing commercial enterprise.”

He explains,

“When we began in 2012, errand-walking became exceptional. In reality, people called us and asked us what an ‘errand’ intended. It took us a long to convince them that errands and daily tasks may be outsourced to educated executives. But in round 2016, ‘errand’ became commonplace, and those understood d the concept.”
